Managing Users
To be able to connect to a Valentina Server you should specify on connect parameters USER_NAME and USER_PASSWORD. These parameters must be pre-defined by administrator of Valentina Server.
Information about users is stored in the MasterDB database of a Valentina Server.
Valentina Server stores passwords using hashes, vClient calculate and sends hashes over network as well.
Administers can add new users or drop existing users easily using different methods:
- Valentina Studio – Valentina Studio. Manage users through the visual, admin tool.
- Valentina SQL commands – CREATE USER, DROP USER
