Popular options for making these available to the public include Launchpad (https://launchpad.net) and GetDeb (http://www.getdeb.net). The former involves adding a PPA for each project, though a Launchpad project doesn't need to correspond directly with a software package, so all packages could be provided in the same PPA. The latter provides all the software it contains through a single package repo, which the user only adds once. I'm not certain of the maintenance differences between the two, but I do know that GetDeb is geared more toward Ubuntu in particular, so there may be some hurdles to providing packages to Debian users.

+1 for a PPA. I've used Valentina Studio successfully on a Mac for years, but now I've migrated to Ubuntu it is a bit of a surprise that I need to manually build the software every time I need to update it. PPA distribution would be very much more convenient for Linux users. Many thanks.
