I was just curious if PureBasic will ever be added to the list of supported ADKs?
There seems to be several developers using PureBasic and it's a cross-platform compiler.

I think we was asked once 5-6 years ago.
We have not found it to be as strong as RB/Xojo or LiveCode.

Thanks Ruslan,

I was trying it out and thought I would try it with Valentina using ODBC.

It's not very expensive, cross-platform and makes really small, fast executables. I thought I might use it for small projects.

Thanks for the quick reply.

This looks familiar though I am not sure if its the BASIC we looked at previously.

What have your experiences been with it so far, Johnny?

Hi Lynn,

So far I am really impressed with PureBasic ( http://www.purebasic.com/ ). Over the weekend I put together a small database app that compiles to an 81KB single .exe. The IDE/Form Designer is nothing fancy, but it seems to work well. It compiles for Windows, Mac and Linux. I purchased a license with lifetime updates for only $99.00.

The only databases it supports out of the box though is SQLite, Postgresql and ODBC. Of course it's almost impossible to tell how many developers are using it, but there seems to be a good amount of activity on the forum. There is apparently enough users that Chilkat has support for it.

Well, I have come today to their forum, and it looks to be quite active and huge.
And yes PureBasic looks to be 3OS supporting.
Interesting.

I think we will discuss this here.

That is great news Ruslan. I will keep and eye on this thread.

The same developer also has a web framework. I've not had any extra time to look at it though.

I think the URL is http://www.spiderbasic.com/.

Sergey says it seems they have no plugin system, only load of C dlls,
then can be used by idea our C SDK.

Maybe looking at the Chilkat Module would help.
Here is a link to the download page for the Chilkat PureBasic Module:

Yes, it should be possible to use the same approach like Chilkat does:

Source-based wrapper module written in PureBasic + Valentina C SDK dynamic library.

It would be awesome if Purebasic developers could use all the great products from Valentina.
