Choosing a database segment size
Each database volume contains the map of internal files (based on RB-Tree). Each internal file has one or several segments. This parameter also specifies how many disk space will allocate each logical file when it must be expanded.
By default, Valentina creates database volumes with a segment size of 32Kb. This parameter should not be smaller than 4K usually.
In the following table you can see how segment size of database affects the maximal size of its volumes:
