Paradigma Software has a beta release of Valentina Studio 14.5 (as well as other products) now available for download. This release includes some initial, basic support for DuckDB. You can see other improvements in the release notes. There are additional improvements that will be added to the final release.

If you are a DuckDB user especially, we would appreciate your feedback. We prefer bugs to be submitted to MANTIS, but you can also comment here in reply or in the "Regarding the Use of DuckDB inside of Valentina Studio" thread below.

Also, if you are using SQLite in Valentina Server, please see our notes in regards to directories in which you can place your SQLite databases.

Valentina 14.5b20 is now available for download.

Two things we'd like to call your attention to in this update for Valentina Studio:

  • DuckDB 1.1 is now supported
  • In the post-connect script of bookmarks, the connection and database objects are added to the result, allowing for initialization, such as changing DuckDB database connection settings

Valentina 14.5b16 is now available for download.

Two things we'd like to call your attention to in this update for Valentina Studio:

  • You can find a cloud-based version of the Sakila demo that uses DuckDB
  • You can try using DuckDB as a data source within Valentina Reports (within Valentina Studio only)

In addition, if you are testing Valentina Reports ADK, you can embed XML in the PDFs generated from reports. See the documentation on this feature.
