Why do I get an error when trying to download a Docker container for VServer:

Trixis-iMac:~ beatrix_willius$ docker pull paradigmasoft/valentina-server
Using default tag: latest
Error response from daemon: manifest for paradigmasoft/valentina-server:latest not found: manifest unknown: manifest unknown

With Docker you can make a sort-of easy VM. You don't need to use an installer which may or may not have dependencies. You install Docker and you install the container - that's the sort-of VM part. And you are done. The Valentina Server Docker containers are available for Windows and Linux.

As usual the Valentina guys are good at hiding what they do. I only saw this by accident in the documentation.

Yes, there is a problem with the manifest for the "latest" tag - the image is always 9.0.2, I recreated manifest now but the version is 9.0.2.

If you specify the tag lin_64 - it downloads the correct version:
docker pull paradigmasoft/valentina-server:lin_64

Fixed the "latest" tag, looks like some issue in the docker manifest command.

Well, mention was in the Release notes 9.1.1
https://valentina-db.com/en/discussion-forums/5736-valentina-release-9-1-1-now-available-adds-64-bit-odbc,-valentina-forms-new-features

2) Also on DOWNLOAD page of VSERVER, there is info about DOCKER with link to WIKI page about how install it .

Indeed there was no separate post to this forum.
