I got a new laptop and I installed valentina plug-in for Xojo (see screenshot 1) but Xojo cannot detect Valentina object (see screenshots 2 & 3) but in my old laptop, it is perfectly working.

Additional info: It is not listed in Xojo's loaded plugins. I wonder why.

Hello Dale,

What is the exact version of v4rb plugin?
Can be checked in C:\Program Files\Paradigma Software\vcomponents_win_vc folder in the properties of base library (for example, vclient)

In my old laptop, it's 8.0.2.0. I will install this version to my new laptop, too?

Hi,

Usually, this happens when you move plugin from one computer to another, so the second machine has the wrong vcomponents folder or misses it at all.

Another issue can be related to PATH variable, which we use to point folder vcomponents to load DLLs

Please try to remove both plugin and vcomponents folder, then install using the installer.
The installer also sets the PATH variable

Hi Ruslan,

Please refer to the attached screenshot. Is the underlined path is relative to which file, Xojo or Valentina plug-in? Because I did what you suggested and still the same. I even modified the (underlined) path and added "C:" to it but still the same. The thing is, I installed Xojo in drive D: I uninstalled everything, Xojo and Valentina plug-in then I installed Xojo this time around in drive C: Viola! Now everything works! Thanks!
