Resolved Excessive lag in VStudio

If I do any database operation, such as create a table and then a few fields, when I click ok - the button will go to disabled state and then it will hang for 3-4 seconds before the operation completes and the create table window is dismissed.

This happens on both a remote VDB server (on my 10Gb LAN) and on a local VDB on my machine (both local server and ADK database).

This happens on both my MacOS and Windows 10 Enterprise boxes using the latest build of everything.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello Scott,

Could you please attach a query log file for the local database (without a server)?

Here's how to do it.
After such slowness, open the Query Log from the main toolbar
Click Save To File...

I have been looking in the query logs the last few days and it appears that the DB operations are in the millisecond time frame, however, the UI is still very slow to respond. I don't code in QT so I have no knowledge of the overhead. This particular lag happens only when creating/updating tables & field definitions. Click the OK button, it goes to disabled state, then the window hangs for about 4 seconds before it closes and returns focus to the main VStudio window.
