I am trying to use the PostgreSQL uuid type in my database, and I notice that despite wide support for it and the actual intention for me to use it in my end database, its missing from the type list in the pulldown menu. I'm not sure what to do as at this point, it's a $200 pice f software I cant use for my intended use case, as it also refuses to import any sql file that uses this type.
How am I supposed to use this type? Am I able to add it myself so that imports work and I can graph the current production schema? What should I do given that this will be my primary key type for many many tables, it's in production, it works perfectly, this is by design, and I just want to get work done?
Please don't tell me not to use a UUID type, that's not an answer we will/can accept. It's running in production fine, I just want to import our sql into my purchased copy of valentina and map it, extend it, etc, and valentina doesn't seem to support PostgreSQL very well so far as all attempts to import valid PostgreSQL code fail and I'm not sure what to do as I just want to get work done
