After noticing and fixing a problem with SQL for searching for slashes I had the idea to check this also for backslashes. But this doesn't seem to work at all:

SELECT * FROM (Message WHERE ( Message.MainSubject REGEX '(?i)\\' )

I have made a test datebase with one record where Message.MainSubject is "test mit / und \". The slash is found the backslash is not found.

Any ideas? Bug for Mantis?

Got it: because of the regex the backslash needs to be escaped twice which makes this \\\\.

Urgh.....
