A lot of my users run anti-virus software (usually because they're at institutions that require it) and have reported problems. I've installed AVS, too, and see that often there's a -47 error (file is busy) exception when when a Valentina database is closed (myDatabase.close). I've trapped all the calls I've found in try-catch blocks and just let them fail silently, which may or may not be a good idea. But even though I've done that, I've had some reports I can't reproduce of -47 errors occurring elsewhere with a Valentina call. I've had no other software with this issue. I wonder if there is something you're doing when closing the database that could avoid this problem (uses can't or won't disable the AVS, and whitelisting sometimes doesn't work)? If you installed AVS on one of your Macs I'm sure you'd see the problem.

Hi,

this should be reported into Mantis obviously.

So far no idea, why this happens, we can on close just write dirty pages from RAM, nothing more, nothing special.

I wonder how far ago you have start get this?

I can report this on Mantis if you like. It started happening several years ago. Since most users aren't running AVS I wasn't running myself, I didn't realize the problem was with Valentina. Only when I installed AVS did I see it myself. I can write to the database thousands of times, flush the database thousands of times, with no problem. It's only on .close that I see this issue!

Jonathan, please report it on Mantis. We should probably be checking this over on Windows where AVS is extremely popular.
