Hi, is a sql select always performed against a database, or can I do a new selection inside the returned cursor.

Problem is: I have a search field, doing query to my db as you type, and this text is used in my query to the DB, this is then populated in a listbox. Now I want to do some statistics on this selection..

My statistics is sales per month grouped as month, but now with this new selection. So how can I do a new select inside a cursor.... or is it a select from DB in a new select DB in ().

AFAIK this is not possible. You can populate a table from you query and then do another select on this table.

However, what you want is a feature that I love from Access. Instead of making complex queries I build query upon query for a simple reporting tool. Is there a feature request???
