I need to print labels on an A4 sheet. The dimensions of the sheet and labels are shown in image-1, the custom report settings are shown in image-2

Problem 1: the print does not respect the real dimensions of the labels (105 mm x 36 mm) and the upper and lower margins of the sheet (4.5 mm)

Problem 2: the printing direction of the labels should be from left to right and from top to bottom, see image-3, but Valentina Report print from left top to left down and right top to right down

What did I do wrong ?

Thanks.

Thank you for testing!
So the main problem is solved in the latest version.

When we create a report (Create->Report) with multiple columns the column width is calculated to fit all controls (it is not distributed between columns).

But when the label is created (Create->Label) there is a property size where we can specify width explicitly, so no need to have an invisible rectangle.

The attached test report is printed correctly.

I tried to do other tests, this is the result:

1) Reports created with VS7 and printed using VS7 or ADK 7 = print produced with incorrect vertical and horizontal dimensions.

2) Reports created with VS7 and printed using VS10 = print produced with correct vertical dimensions but with incorrect horizontal alignment. To restore the correct horizontal alignment I inserted in the project a rectangle object with the same dimensions of the label, 105mm X 36mm without the border printing (see attached image)

3) reports created with VS10 (file attached to the previous post) and printed with VS10 = correct printing.

Thank you, that's strange anyway. Is the preview correct?
I attached a project with labels 105x36 mm.

Now the vertical alignment is correct but the horizontal alignment is incorrect,
probably because the report was created with Valentina Studio 7.

Also, Valentina Studio Free can preview, export and print existing reports.

Hello,

I've prepared a Valentina Studio test build:
https://www.dropbox.com/t/xafWFe5H7OAIDwsQ

In my tests, the sizes of printed objects are correct now.
Could you please try to print a report using it?

It is recommended to work with copies of used VSP (and local VDB if it is a datasource) as the file format can be upgraded to the latest version.

Hello,

New versions implement left-to-right labels printing.
But printing on Windows wasn't changed. I'll check why are wrong margins applied when printing on Windows.

Were you able to print from the Valentina Studio with this option turned off by default?

The first image attached ( printer-setting.jpg ), refers to the printer properties.

A standard Windows printing API is used, I don't see any other option to control it.
Could you please make a screenshot with this option in the printer settings?

I've already tried with
scaling=100,
but it doesn't work.

There is one similar option, it is defined in percents, e.g.
scaling=100
to print in the original size.

Maybe I solved it:

the printer is set by default to reduce too large pages, setting it to print without reduction, the printing is OK.

Is there any way to indicate to print without reducing too large documents directly from the ADK ( without manually setting the printer ) ?

thanks.

So the problem is only when you print this report using PrintToPrinter method (or directly from the Valentina Studio)?
What if you print to PDF - is it correct?

I did many tests without obtaining positive results.

Please tell me if with the 7.0.4 version I can get what I need, or if I need to buy the latest version of Valentina Studio (with the hoping that it's can do what I need).

p.s.: I attach a test document created with OpenOffice Writer, this is printed correctly.

So preview on image-A1 is correct, right?

On image-A2, it looks like the report is printed with some wrong scale.
Is it with the PrintToPrinter method?
